The house is set in 40 acres of manicured gardens, encompassing a large kitchen garden, woodland walks, lake and fowl reserve, lawns and herbaceous borders. The interior bears all the signs of a much loved house filled with fresh flowers, gleaming antiques and mirrors, blazing fires and period paintings.
主建築坐落在40英畝修剪整齊的花園內，周圍環繞著大果菜園、林地步道、觀賞湖、家禽保留區、大草坪。建築內部裝潢充滿小巧可愛的鮮花、閃閃發光的古董與鏡子、熊熊燃燒著的壁爐以及有年代的畫作。
There are a host of leisure activities in the area including links and parkland golf courses, archery, beach and woodland walks and horse riding, all within close proximity. The reputation of Marlfield house has been built on its food, much of which is grown in the kitchen garden or sourced locally. Fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs grow abundantly in summer and autumn and are gathered daily for the kitchen.
